I love some good TV. You know, the shows you binge watch and are actually worth giving up an entire day for! That’s the kind of TV I love. This school year, I have really failed on the TV front. For some reason, I find myself asleep within 20 minutes of turning on a show. It’s pathetic. And sad. And takes me a solid week to actually watch a single episode of a show!! Even with this struggle I’m enduring, I have found some time to indulge in a few good shows…
The final season of The Man in the High Castle just launched on Amazon Prime and I am obsessed! This is currently my favorite show. The premise is part history/ part sci-fi and 100% amazing!!! Basically, it asks the question; what if the Axis Powers won WWII and what if there was an alternative universe where they didn’t? I know, sounds strange but it is so well done. You can binge watch all 4 seasons now!
Having grown up in the heart of Silicon Valley, watching HBO’s show Silicon Valley is a bit nostalgic for me. The sixth and final season is now on HBO (Sunday nights) and it is one of the best seasons- in my opinion. The plot follows a start up tech company and all the troubles that come with it. It’s one of the best comedies out there now and I adore it.
So…there has been so much chatter following around Netflix’s new Martin Scorsese film The Irishman that Greg and I were so excited to see it. We set aside an entire Saturday night to watch it and…we got 2 hours in and couldn’t make it through the final hour or so!!! Am I the only one who found it slow, boring, and frankly very predictable? I usually love Scorsese films; The Departed is one of my all time favorite movies, but this one, I just couldn’t do it!!! I feel like a failure!
I hope you can carve out some time to catch up on a favorite show…or watch something new!
