Have I mentioned before that I LOVE fall cooking?!?! The flavors, the warmth…. I love it all! In my quest to try one new meal a week, I found an amazing looking fall dinner on What’s Gaby Cooking and couldn’t wait to try her Sausage Ragu Polenta Bowls!
I am a little embarrassed to say that I have never made polenta in my life. I know, right?!? Polenta is ridiculously easy, and it is an awesome alternative to a pasta or potato as a side dish. This recipe for polenta was full of delicious cheese and the finished product was creamy, flavorful, and perfectly delicious.
The sausage ragu is a pretty basic red sauce with sausage, and it was straightforward with big, bold flavors. I used the Beyond Meat Sweet Italian Sausage for this recipe and it was perfect! I loved the contrast between the ragu and the polenta, and together they complimented each other so nicely.
This is a meal that will be one of my fall/winter go-to dinners. It would be ideal for a crowd and it was really good reheated the next day. I love it when I find new fall favorites!!!
