Smile…it’s Friday! Although summer vacation is wonderful and magical, there is something about being back at work that makes Friday’s seem like the best thing to happen all week! I love the Friday afternoon feeling; where you have the whole weekend to look forward to!
Greg and I recently had a night out with some friends at Figueroa Mountain Brewery and it was awesome. If you live in the Ventura/Santa Barbara/San Luis Obispo region, you should check out their taprooms. Good food and great beer. If not- pick up some of their beer at the store. My personal al favorite is the Danish Red Lager!
I saw this the other day and laughed out loud. For those of you who grew up on the 1990’s this meme rings so true! I don’t know about all teachers, but I certainly am going into this school year trying to keep my plans flexible because you never know what (or who!) is lurking around!!!
Weekend breakfasts have become one of my favorite things- and this waffle creation is so awesome I just had to share! I make a huge batch of buttermilk waffles (leftovers are perfect for a quick breakfast during the week) and top it with peanut butter, raspberries, and strawberries. I love eating waffles this way and it starts the day off on the right foot.
I’m happy to report that the dogs are surviving being on their own all day. Surviving- but not loving it! Oscar’s favorite part of the day is when Greg comes home (he finishes work first) and picks him up before going out and picking the rest of us up from school. The two of them are a wonderful chauffeur team!
