Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Boredom has gotten the best of me. How do I know? Because I am actively searching out even better chocolate chip cookie recipes- and I actually like the ones I have! But, my boredom might have proved to be useful…because of brown butter.

Honestly- it’s a bit embarrassing that I have never made brown butter chocolate chip cookies before. I love brown butter. And it’s so good. Naturally it belongs in cookies. I’m ashamed of myself.

I found the recipe on a random IG search and I immediately set out to make a batch. Obviously, what my family needed was more cookies! The recipe was easy to follow, had a mix of 3 (yes 3!) different chocolate chips and was whipped up in no time. Note: I did alter the recipe a smidge when I included 2 teaspoons of cornstarch to the batter. I always do this to cookies because it makes them fluffy- not flat. It’s foolproof and amazing!

My cookies came out beautifully and after sprinkling a bit of sea salt on top, they were ready to make their debut… in my belly! The brown butter added a perfect nuttiness to the cookie, the chocolate chip combo was out of this world, and the dusting of salt- perfection.

Now I can officially call this my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe!
