I am always on the look out for new breakfast recipes that fit the following requirements:
1. Easy- something I can make before coffee
2. Fast- I can’t wait all morning to eat…I might die!!!
3. Simple- I am surrounded by picky eaters…no fancy ingredients
My amazing friend, Asya, is always making some pretty incredible Dutch Baby Pancakes that she posts online, so I decided to follow her lead one morning and make one for myself. I remember my mom making these when I was a kid, and I remember them being pretty simple. So, away I went!!
Simple is an understatement. The Dutch Baby Pancake is one of the quickest and easiest breakfasts I have ever made! Why have I waited to long to make this?!? It is a handful of ingredients- which I had on hand- a three minute prep, and in the oven! Seriously…it was no work at all!
The real test came when my pickiest eater tried it. Of course, she loaded it down with syrup and powdered sugar- but I did sneak some strawberries in there, too! One bite, and Tay was hooked- she loved it! She actually went back for seconds, which is pretty much unheard of.
Guess I’ll be making this one again…
