I have loved Kate Bryan at The Small Things for years. I remember I discovered her blog when I was looking for cute hairstyles and over the years her blog has evolved into my go-to for fashion, make up, hair, and now…food! Kate recently re-posted her lasagna recipe and it sounded so good that I had to give it a go!
As with any lasagna- you need a good sauce. And, if you have followed me, you know I love this marinara from Trader Joe’s. I’ve made my own stuff and although I love a homemade sauce- this is so much easier!!!!!
The secret behind Kate’s delicious lasagna is really two-fold. First, it’s a mixture of a pork sausage and a ground beef. Now, being vegetarian this might seem like a ridiculous request- but Beyond Meats came to the rescue! I used the Beyond ground “beef” and Beyond Bratwurst sausages to create the delicious filling on this lasagna. It was perfect! The second secret, the cheese mixture- notably the addition of cream cheese. I have never made a lasagna with cream cheese and it was delicious! Who would have thought…
The final product was so filling and so scrumptious and so everything you want a lasagna to be! This baby will definitely be in the mewl rotation this fall and winter-comfort food at its best!!!
