Good Reads

With a lot of plane time lately, I’ve gotten in a lot of reading (which is heaven!) Here are two of the many books I’ve read:

I have long been a dog. HUGE fan of Jennifer Weiner. Good in Bed? Who didn’t love that book? I adore how relatable her characters are and how they are flawed yet still very likable.

Mrs. Everything did not disappoint. The story follows two sisters as they live their lives from the 1950s to present day. Both sisters took decidedly different life paths and it was interesting to see the fictional story of these women intertwined with American history.

This was an incredibly quick read and I found myself unable to put it down- I even passed up the in flight movie selection that had some quality picks!!!

Chelsea Handler’s books have always made me laugh out loud and something I look forward to. I have been saving this book specifically for my long trip this summer because I knew it would be good.

I was surprised by this book- and not necessarily in a bad way. Apparently, Chelsea has been doing a lot of soul searching over the last few years and this book was incredibly honest about her as a person and how her childhood tragedy has shaped her into the woman she is today.

Life Will Be the Death of Me had its funny moments (the stories of Bert and Bernice are the best!) but it is more reflective than it is comedic. It wasn’t what I expected, but it was still amazing.

PS- for a book that might literally make you pee your pants, try Chelsea’s, Uganda Be Kidding Me. I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard from reading!!
